A “quartz” watch is one that is powered by a quartz movement, complete with an electronic circuit board, synthetic quartz crystal, and battery, as opposed to mechanical moving gears, wheels, and other parts. Most quartz movements, whose second hands move in individual “ticks,” beat at a frequency of 32,768 oscillations per second, although today there is also very high precision (VHP) calibers on the market that vibrate at even faster oscillations per minute.

It features Roman numerals and a small date aperture at 3 o’clock. The watch comes with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and is powered by Swiss-made quartz movement.

It comes with a Tang buckle that designed as classic belt buckles with a metal loop and pin. The tail end of the strap has holes in small increments, the strap is then threaded through the buckle and the pin is pushed through the corresponding hole for a good fit.

The efficiency of the self-winding process is directly linked to the motion of the wearer's wrist. In case of insufficient movements, the watch may stop even while being worn. In this case, we recommend preventively wind the watch manually with about 20 clockwise turns of the crown. Also, the watchband must be correctly fitted to the wearer’s wrist: if the watchband is too loose, the watch may not wind itself correctly.

The watch should be removed from your wrist before winding it. This ensures the crown stem remains completely straight during winding and avoids the risk of damaging the crown or the movement.

Do not deliberately shake a self-winding watch in order to wind it. This is ineffective and could damage the movement. Even if your watch is not worn for several months we advise you to regularly wind it manually. This will prevent the oils from either congealing or flowing over the shafts of the movement.

Care Instruction:

  • Avoid exposing your watch to extreme heat or sudden changes in temperature or humidity (sauna, Jacuzzi, hot springs, etc.).
  • Protect your mechanical watch from magnetism by keeping it away from strong magnetic sources, such as microwaves, x-rays, speakers, etc.
  • Avoid forceful impacts; it is not recommended to wear your watch while playing any sports that may cause any shocks or jolts to the wrist (such as golf or tennis) unless your watch is intended for sports use.
  • After adjusting the hour/date on a piece with a crown security closing system, the crown must be tightened again to prevent outside elements from entering the case such as dust or humidity. To prevent damage to the movement, avoid adjusting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM so as to not disrupt the date wheel function.
  • The average lifespan of your battery is two to four years depending on the type of movement. We advise you not to leave an old battery inside your watch as an old battery can leak and damage the movement.
  • Before any contact with water, check that the crown and push buttons are properly closed. Do not activate any mechanical features while your watch is underwater unless your piece is designed for water sports or scuba diving.
  • Water-resistant watches should be washed with running lukewarm water after contact with seawater or chlorine. Watches that are worn in water should be checked for water resistance every two years to ensure the gaskets have not been compromised. Avoid contact with Fragrance, alcohol, cosmetics, ammonia, and chlorine, and always place your watch on a soft surface.
